that's not his role though and playing him there hinders the team, Nacho is a finisher play him in his best role and see what he can do when we aren't at risk of relegation
An unproven and apparent lazy ‘finisher’ for the most part from what I’ve seen.

The team needs to be built around providing chances for Vardy and Nacho can wait in the wings for his chance - should it come.

Vardy is still the future at 31 as he has the engine of a 24 year old.

Spanish German and Italian clubs all pretty much do the same and English, play the reserves until you get to the later stages
I just had a quick look and it’s hard to gauge, as several of the teams left in the competition, from those countries, were initially in the Champions League.

I did look at Milan and Lazio, though. In their most recent matches, Milan had 8 of the same starters as the penultimate group match (their last game was a dead rubber), but Lazio had only 3, so you can’t deduce a lot from that, other than the fact that I’m too lazy to look at it in any more detail :D

I listen to a lot of football podcasts and people like Rafa Honigstein and James Horncastle talk about how its not taken seriously until the latter stages, it's basically the european version of the League Cup

Far shitter teams than ours have played in the final of the Europa League, and it’s a route to the Champions League, so I’ll take qualifying for that all day long.

Rangers, Boro, Fulham and Celtic to name a few.

I like Honigstein, he’s an interesting guy to listen to.

Whichever you want to view it, however, a team who has qualified for the Europa League, will tend to have had a better previous season, than a team who hasn’t qualified for it. There may be a fair bit of perception in there, but it still makes you a more attractive proposition.

Nacho's best role is sat in the stands, not even making the bench, the useless feck

There's a load of games left and I expect us to compete and fight for every single point - not piss about trying to 'find ourselves'

I'm not against getting into the Europa just not a priority for me, I'd rather concentrate on implementing Puel's prefered system as soon as possible

If it's sleep trouble you've got then I can recommend Dreamy Sleepy Nighty Snoozy Snooze.

From hero to zero in the blink of an eye.
Came on against the Baggies, played very well, helped turn the game our way.
Played so well, many clamoured for him to start..
Starts the next game, didn't have the best of games, so he must be a pile of shite....

How many times has this been said about various players this season?

I go back to Vardy's first showing for us. He wouldn't be given a second chance nowadays.

Winning the league has spoilt a lot of our so called fans
Fickle ****ers!

I really couldn’t give two hoots if we qualify for the Europa League or not. I don’t care about it as a neutral and I wouldn’t really care about it if we were in it. It used to be a decent competition before UEFA ruined it.

To be honest I’d rather not have half our games on a Sunday.

Weirdly though, I think I would feel slightly more positive about it if we qualified for it by winning the FA Cup....

Modern football fans eh.

What's the ****ing point if Leicester fans can't get excited about any type of European football.

If some of our fans are genuinely only bothered about the league if we can get champions league then prepare for a lot of disappointment.

This modern, instasuccess era is shit.

There was a time when any sort of European Football (European Cup, Cup Winners Cup, UEFA Cup) was an almost once in a lifetime experience for Leicester. I'd take the Europa League every year, it means the club is far ahead of what it used to be. If you don't aim for it you settle into mid-table Premier League mediocrity, which has worked out well for Stoke and WBA.

I'm amazed that anyone can be saying they don't care about qualifying for the Europa League. What's the point in turning up for the league at all if our only options are ****ing disaster if we get relegated, unbelievable if we get top 4, but anything else in between is a waste of time?

I'm still happy at seeing us becoming an established and secure Premier League club.
Finishing in the Europa League spots gives us a much better chance of pushing on in the future. And also, an important point I feel, will make our owners far happier that we're reaching their objectives.

It really is beyond belief, isn't it?

They may well have pissed around and created an abomination of a competition, but to hear Leicester fans say they are not bothered about being in it ?

Madness, absolute madness

What the bollock has winning the league done to some folk? Turning your nose up at European football because you think that the competition is some how 'beneath us' is arrogant at best and ****ing idiotic at worst. It should be our priority from this point forward to chase down Burnley, get that 7th place and then qualify for the Europa League - why on earth folk would want or wish for us to do worse than this is lunacy.
