do you ? i think we have a good few unproven championship players (not their fault granted) and most ofthe others are proven in the championship....proven to be not good enough which contributed to us being relegated.you could argue that was down more to the manager at the time rather than the players but lets not kid ourselves,we need more than a bit of tinkering here and there.our strikeforce hit very few goals in championship football last season and our midfield were poor,yes we appear ok in defence but the defence wasn't that bad under holloway,it was more that we could neither create or score goals against championship opposition,i fail to see why with the current squad it would be any different.i think we need to bring in a good few players myself or rely on some quality loan signings

IMO Leicester was a dark place to be last season. All the different managers we had, not helped by the players upheaval we had right through the season. We have got rid of the bad eggs, most of them anyway. It must of been difficult place to be. 3 sets of coaching set ups wouldn't of helped. If megson had stayed we'd still be in the championship now i believe.

Whilst Oakley and Howard came to us in Jan and had a bad time, you dont suddenly go from being premier material players to rubbish championship type players. They came at the wrong time and couldn't turn around the rot that we had got ourselves into. Fryatt was messed around by managers and all good strikers score when they have confidence, hence the reason he's got a few this season, helped by a contract renewel of course. :icon_wink

Whilst some of our players are unproven at this level, granted, who's to say that they cannot adapt to a higher league. Muzzy Izzet, Matt Elliott, Neil Lennon and Robbie Savage were all unproven when they arrived. Who's to say the current bunch wont adapt. Until we are there we will not know. Its a whole different team to last year with only mattock and kisnorbo really being the constant since the start of last season.

I look at swansea who have comfortably competed in the championship since they won div 1 last year. Why can't we do the same. I don't think we are far away from having a decent squad next season. 4/5 better squad players and we'll be fine imo.

Most of the other teams in this division are shite and the bottom half of the championship are no fecking better either.

fail to see how defence aside this squad is very much different to the one that got relegated but maybe it is a confidence thing and they will shine in the championship,dyer aside who nelse have we got in on a permenant transfer in an attacking or midfield role ? yes we need 5 or 6 players but imo those 5 or 6 need to be players who can go straight into the first team rather than 'ones for the future' or 'good squad players'.this squad was assembled to gain promotion to the champonship,it may well have to be revamped in order to gain stability in the championship and push on.we shall see

We haven't go anyone else in apart from dyer really but the jury is still out on King and gradel imo. I think King is a good player but not consistent enough but will improve over next few years as he is only a kid, and i'd get another midfielder in to play alongside oakley in the middle of the park with king as back up.

Strikers we definatly need. I think we need another 1 of each. A fryatt type player and a hoard type player. Cox comes to mind as a clone of fryatt. Not gonna get him but just an example, a james beattie type of player too who is similar to howard.

I dont doubt the squad will have to be revamped but not as much as some people think.

Like i've said, a couple of stikers, a couple of midfielders, a goalkeeper and maybe a right back too. But only squad players with the exception of the goalkeeper and a midfielder.

Last season was a almighty feck up all around. Shit players bought in the summer, a player having a heart attack, 3 managers (+ caretakers) 2 of which were nutters and just general feeling of depression around the club.
Again shows what a good job Pearsons done to turn it around.

I can see Fryatt and Howard being are starting striker force again next season. The defence is also looking good. (pending what happens with the loan signings). We definitely need a new keeper and a couple of quality midfield additions though.

I agree with your assessment about this division and to be honest the so-called championship isn't too inspiring either. Nonetheless, I suspect that there is quite a gap between League 1 and the championship and the acquisition of another set of loanees looks a must to me if we are to have a good chance to thrive.

Fortunately Milan still seems to be up for throwing around a few quid so given the general financial circumstances facing clubs, there must be good opportunities to bring in some more half-decent players. Also, I think we have to make a permanent signing of a good standard keeper - you can't get far without one of those.

I make one post that was not even meant in an abusive manner and more of a joking comment and get my wrists slapped, and yet over the last week or so the same poster has recieved constant comments yet not directly personal abuse, that would make him feel most unwelcome and not a word is said, what a ****ing joke.

I imagine if you asked Harb fox which poster and comments he would class as abuse over the last week mine would not be one of them, fecking do gooder. And you still have not answered my question.
