How on Earth can I say that.

It varies between:

Revolver
Abbey Road
The White Album
Mystery Tour
Sgt Pepper

come on melts stick your neck on the line
I can't, it changes all the time, but I will vote for revolver because of Tomorrow Never Knows, but the same can be said for all the albums especially Abbey Road for Here Comes The Sun.

Sticking my neck out, Revolver, but it will be different tomorrow

I have a soft spot for Sgt Pepper as I have the original album on vinyl complete with lyric sheet and the original "cut outs" still in tact.

I also proudly own the original Help, Revolver, Rubber Soul, Love Songs, With The Beatles, Abbey Road & a few more that I can't remember without going up into the attic

even though i love the beatles i prefer there sound from the early days ie from please please me to rubber soul-however i still love all the later stuff

I've gone for Hard days night as favourite, largely as it was the last of the "raw" beatles. Though I would say Sergeant Pepper runs it close because of its context & the influence it had on so much that came after.

I don't really know why it stands out for me, but it does. :icon_razz :icon_redf
How big an impact did The Beatles have in Canada?, obviously "the good 'ol US of A" was massive, but does Canada share the same musical tastes as it's cousin

A Hard Days Night

Not a silly LP like the latter ones, just a great collection of not too long great catchy songs.

The shortest one......

Partically agree, Highland.

I have the greatest respect of the Beatles in influencing music and being a icon of the 60s. There are numerous songs which are great but they are not the legends as they are now seen as. In the 60s, they were just one of a set of bands. Surely for example The Kinks have had has much good stuff as the Beatles.

Genius is used all to easily these days, every fecker was hooked on LDS then so. I do hate wanking emos kids what say they are super crap.

There is one lad in our history his musical naiveity is wearing thin.

We talk about the Beatles, he says CRAP!
We talk about the Smiths, he says CRAP!
We talk about the Stone Roses, he says CRAP!

Three of the most influencial bands ever and he has no recognition that these are bands which formed music. He once told me and my mate to listen to some song, 'listen medivdal acoustic guitar' he said. What a bunch of bollocks, it was some emo band who thought they would be clever using a piccolo in a song. He once said he has never listened to any music older than Nirvana.

He once played the band Korn on his lap-top, to say about backwards messages and then System Of A Down (Shout loud, stop, speak quietly, shout loud and say stuff in an annoying voice). This lad thought that Korn we clever because they used backwards message, that was until my history tutor, pointed out Stone Roses used the same effect in 'Don't Stop'.

The History tutor then went to put on some of Crosby, Stills and Nash stuff. He felt better.

However, I am not one of these. I can fully appreciate the legacy of the Beatles but from my opinion I do not like the Beatles. Basically, I dont like people argue a subjective opinion when really they should place into context their comments on some thing as important to people as music.

the thing is hazzer i was not arguing for you not liking the Beatles, i was arguing your point that they are not legends-the fact that in your long essay you have not even tried to back up your original statement shows me how misinformed you were
