It seems obvious to me as well. Before his injury he was in the form of his life. Since then, it's been bit part appearances at best. He's not really had any consistent appearances to get back into form, until now.

The thing I always thought he did particularly well was rolling players as he received a pass. Obviously that movement comes from his hips. Can’t remember the last time I saw him do this. He’s shying away from physical contact and hiding in games now. It’s a real shame.
