Jesus H Corbet. Praet and Soumare in midfield.....Enzo said that Praet offers us more physicality in the position today so clearly football has lost it's ****ing mind.
Than Mcateer and Yunus? I mean, he does.Enzo said that Praet offers us more physicality in the position today so clearly football has lost it's ****ing mind.
Less talent though.Than Mcateer and Yunus? I mean, he does.
Nah. Praet is ****ing woeful. Like, really amazingly shit.Even for you.
Batshit.
I think we will wobble while he’s in the side. The drop off from Wilf to Praet is considerable.Nah. Praet is ****ing woeful. Like, really amazingly shit.

I might have missed it, but did we get a chance to see Soumare play under Enzo pre-season or did he go straight out on loan?Jesus, do people even watch the football any more

We need a new player who can actually play the positionI might have missed it, but did we get a chance to see Soumare play under Enzo pre-season or did he go straight out on loan?
Amusing as your ordering is, I do think that if Enzo can get a tune out of Ndidi in this position he can do so with Soumare too (and perhaps more easily)
Absolutely, but we seem to be discussing who should fill the role of second understudy to that position. Given the inability to get anyone in, I'd have been content for Soumare to be recalled last month and given a go. I really don't think he'd be worse than McAteer, and it's not like Yunus or Denis are setting our hearts aflameWe need a new player who can actually play the position
KDH isn't even up to scratch on the other side of it.
I'm still not on board with why people think Praet is in any way a better player than McAteer:
Praet:
11 games
0 goals
1 assist
And for the lovers of such stats:
0.17 G+A (1 goal contribution)
Average rating 6.8
McAteer:
21 games
6 goals
1 assist
And for the lovers of such stats:
0.42 G+A (5 goal contributions)
Average rating 7.0
Neither of them may be good enough (although I've seen enough of McAteer to think that with the right development plan he could be good) but McAteer is definitely a better bet than Praet. Then again, I'd play Yunus over both of them and he's bang average so that tells you something.
Yes they did, that's fair comment. And I suppose that's the issue; judging McAteer as a CM is not fair. Like I say, I'd have Yunus there but if we're honest, without Ndidi all of our options are pretty shite.Doesn't most of McAteer's contribution to those stats come from him playing on the wing rather than inside? One lucky goal aside, I don't think he's produced much at all from 8. I like Yunus, but he just doesn't seem quite right in that position either - I think he'd work better on his own with two deeper midfielders, which of course is the opposite of Enzo's preferred shape

You've already told us that yours are closed for the duration the game. You know, 'cause we're so dull and boring an' that....Because we have eyes?
