This country's benefits system - I can't make head nor tail of it.

I've reached the stage where I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth it, or is that the idea :102:
 
The lcfc forum, Im just nipping in to get the latest news nowadays and then mark the rest as read, its all shite.
 
Cash machines.


I am very low on cash at the moment but needed some money after work.
I went to a cash point to draw £10 out. A message appears saying only £20 notes available.
So I decided to take £20 even though my account is very short, but what should come out?

Two ****ing £10 notes. :icon_roll:098:

Could have been worse. About 6-7 years ago I went to take the last £90 out of my account, which had to last me about three weeks until pay day.
The machine whirred away and thanked me for my transaction, but gave me no money, even though it took it from my balance.

It took until after I'd been paid before A&L finally gave me the money back.


Something similar happened to me a couple a couple of years ago too, but fortunately it didn't leave me skint.

In each case the bank treated me with suspicion, and thought I was reporting my card being misused, rather than a machine not working properly, despite me explaining it.
All they had to do was check the printed records inside the machine, which record all the money paid out, but it takes so much red tape to get them to do it it's ridiculous.

Banks are all evil.
