The club has to stop thinking the fans will come because they always have. Lets take the attitude of sports like Basketball, Ice Hockey and Speedway.

Most of that the club has done. So, the place is more attractive to kids, you get the manufactured atmosphere of tannoyed 'anthems' and other gimmicks (some of which are fine by me - like the flags). But the crowds decline, still.

leeds have got their debt down to 5 million and next season will no longer be paying fowler and other ex players so he is right.

Since you seem to be so well-informed, can you tell us how Leeds have reduced their debts?

To be fair, most of the committee are not involved with the trust, although they are represented.

Our only official rep is Alan Digby on the FCC.

Most of our feedback is given directly to the club in other meetings, we will highlight certain issues at the FCC where we feel topics need a real push.

We also query with the club when something is stated at the FCC which differs from previous information supplied, this is normally done straight after the meeting or within a few days if previous info needs to be checked with other FT board members

The reference to "financial incapacity" means that no one on the board has the ability or alternatively the desire to invest in the club to the degree needed to boost the club's playing resources.

The reference to "ineptitude" refers to the the series of shallow commercial and marketing gimmicks that increasing cut no ice and attempts to divert attention to trivial (in comparison with the serious business of football which is about winning matches) issues.

My definition of "acceptable" is Leicester City punching its weight as a football club. Now, I am not saying that the board or its supporters (like the FT) are bad people.....just that they do not have the wherewithall to run a successful football club at the level that most supporters think reasonable.

The present situation is slowly killing off interest.....everybody knows that.
Does that clarify?

Yes thanks

Another way is to get all the dosh left and sign one recognisable player on loan, make a big occasion. IE. Mancini style, people couldnt believe we had signed an ex-Italian international.

Well we missed out on Christian Vieri then, he has just signed for Atalanta, on the minimum wage of 1500 Euros A MONTH!!!!!!!!! and his wages will only be boosted if he scores goals, the club are payng him a rumoured 50K euros per goal.

See all big star names dont come expensive

foxes trust you have an answer as to why the current members of the board who could invest more havent done so?
would you? The board set up is a joke where no one person can have a majority holding.

I am surprised they have not asked season ticket holders to each buy another ST..............

Leeds - Bates money

Derby - £21m of own money from Gadbsy & team

Us - £6m invested by 40 shareholders

It's a vast difference

it wasnt just down to bates money he is rich but not that rich, down to clever money management, from what I know they sold their stadium and training ground and other assets. Probably not great long term plans actually but it may be more prudent then a crippling debt. I also think they refinanced some debt so they paying xxp in the £.

I wouldnt no, but since the current board members voted this system into place I am curious if they think its such a great system and they know we need investment why arent they dipping further into their own pockets.

because they can't. There is a threshold of how much they can put in, unless its a donation....

Also I am certain non of the board members are multi millionaires with the loose money available to chuck at the club as us fans want.

we can always criticise the board for not dipping into empty pockets, they can have all the money in my pocket at the moment........plus the cigs, what is that going to buy? we have got no investment and we are poor, its a fact we have to cope with until someone buys us out. in the last week against two promotion favourites we have more than show we are there to piss on their chips, we can put the performances in and made them sweat! a bit more of it each week we can make playoffs but i dont want to get ahead of myself, seeing as we never beat struggling teams......go back to the MON days and we struggled against turd and beat man u etc

are you implying the current board members havent got it like I dont have it?

No. But I am wondering how much you have donated to the club with little hope of return (except for a chunk of slagging off on boards such as this). Doesn't have to be in nominal terms - have you donated, say, 10% of what you have?

He has done this because they are the team who gave him his big break...

and also because he cannot get another club. He offered himself to Juve the other week and they told him to feck off. But what I am saying is that a player of his standing would have been great. He had made it known that he would have loved to have played in England.

His big break came when he played for Athletico Madrid and that success continued when he then signed ( I think) for either Lazio or Roma. He did play for Atalanta in his earlier days though

I have actually.

The FT said on here a few months ago that they would ask Martin George if he would consider a buy out attempt at the club. What ever came of this?

I have it on very good authority that the club is trying to secure investment from wealthy individuals, and has met people in the attempt to get them investing. However the one I know of went tits up (No shock there) and is no longer intrested in investing.

I also heard that Mandaric was more than just a rumor and did apporch the board, but he too was put off it. This however was from a less reliable source.

On the point about the club meeting the fans and the poor turnout. This is something I would deffinatly attend, however the offical site never tells the us date, and in general I only become aware its happening on the day, usually when someone is saying they are going. How can they expect a good attendance when they don't publicise it? Just one more thing the club is unable to do, add it to the list.
