I heard a rumour that when asked if he was going to take the job Tigana replied 'Hee haw he haw he haw.'

I speculate that this is not far from the truth.

Jean Tigana's blanc and bleu army.

L'armee blanc et bleu de Jean Tigana? :102:

Piss ...................... sorry Wee :icon_bigg :icon_wink

I hope this is not kite flying, as a part of me suspects it is, and is the real deal as I am sure it will put a smile on a few people's face. :icon_bigg :icon_wink

Can we expect his very passable chateau bottled white wine to be on sale in the club shop. It is no longer stocked by Harrods for some reason.

je voudrais un pantalon bleu si vou plait

Am I to deduce that Tigana has his own vineyards? Maybe they are arguing over the percentages on each bottle, gross of course. :icon_wink

You deduce correctly. It's a limited output and a tad pricey, & I'm not sure if any is available in the UK now.

I suspect he wants the concession to supply the executive boxes which could be the sticking point - he's up against the current Bugarian Merlot.

Bloody inner circle always going off topic;)

I'm definitely Outer Circle (route no 48 as I recall)

...at a push Tigana. Though neither are particularly inspiring, I think it they would be better than Grayson, who seems to be most people's choice on this site. I just don't get why everyone seem to get all misty eyed about an ex-player 'coming home'. I didn't rate him as a player, and I don't see why he won't bring the same lack of success as a manager here. so bring on Tigana.

ps. it won't happen

O.K. I see the merits in your opinion on Larry as our next manager but I have to totally disagree with your opinion on him as a player. How much would we kill for a Simon Grayson to be our current right wing-back? He was a very solid defender and was more than capable of getting forward and supporting the attack and putting in good crosses. While I always liked him while he was here I think his quality and importance to the side really shone through like a beacon when we got Andrew Impey in to replace him.

I would really liek Tigana to come in as the new manager. I have a sinking feeling that it will be Royle, or some equally uninspiring choice, ala Megson. That's not to say that he may not come in and do a good job for us but the appointment of Tigana would excite most Leicester fans I am sure. As has been said he did for Fulham what we all want someone to do for Leicester. He got them up from our division and kept them safe in the Premiership. Sure he had Big Al as his Chairman but he has never spent 'serious' money on buying players for Fulham. In many ways the paralell to him and Milan are strikingly similar. Plus if we get Tigana in he may actually bring some quality players to the team, ala Malbranque or Saha back in the day. It would be nice to have a French player who was not of the quality of Lillian " I scored one great goal and did **** all else' Nalis or Frank Rolling.

Steve Cotteril would be a decent appointment but again not inspiring. As someone pointed out recently, he has got Burnley firmly established in mid-table but it took him three seasons to do so. With our resources though I am sure that would not be the case. Besides, I doubt Milan has even considered him and we are just putting two and two together and coming up with 56 as far as this is concerned.
