Hammond missed alot of football in his early twenties because of a busted knee cap, has only played regular reserve team football before coming to us (for which he was leading scorer in the ressy league one season, so does know where the onion bag is) and has only played 13 games for us for gods sake.
I am not saying he is the answer but he is alot better than some of the dross we have had over the years and is pace is enough to keep opposing defenders thinking. All of the players need time to settle, look at the defense now that, IMO, CL is playing the four he has always wanted to. Hopefully over the two week break the training that has been put in on the attacking side will be added to the solid defending we have seen and we would have taken another step in the right direction.
It won't happen over night people.
