My father is currently very poorly in hospital. A 🦊 since 1955, we’ve had some very difficult weeks and equally some very upsetting conversations. I went to visit today, kept him up to date with the score. I said did he want to listen to the last 10mins - with a set of headphones, he’s kicked every ball, made countless tackles and headers with the lads. At the end, he finally had that sparkle back - he’s far from out of the woods, but said he wouldn’t quit on us as 🦊 never quit. The sheer power of football and just one result. If I could, I’d give a huge hug to Ruud and all of them today. My father & I have so needed that little lift.
Thoughts are with you buddy.

I hope your father pulls through.

I'm confused by this.

He had an excellent game for us and his stats show it. If you take a look at the Spurs forum (and I advise it, the meltdown is wonderful), there are loads of comments about him being the best player in the game. He wasn't for me, but he was still very good
Maybe I focus too much on his second half performance, but in the first half let's be honest it was a poor performance all around as usual, Winks included. Second half at 2-1 up he seemed like the main culprit in giving the ball away cheaply during our 'backs to the wall' period. I counted at least 3 times in those last 10 mins or so where he carelessly gave the ball away. Also didn't play a part in either of the two goals so I fail to see where the good performance is in there just because the stats say he apparently completed 89% of his passes. Maybe they were the simple 'knock it back to the back four and let them deal with it' ones..... he was largely anonymous and was a real let down in that key end period.

I disagree with your assessment overall but he did **** me off at least twice in the late stages. Either with a pass putting another player under unnecessary pressure or trying to be too clever. Maybe he is just used to Spurs and knew that **** all would come of it.

Neither did Stolarczyk. He must've been shit as well.

Like I say, I genuinely don't know what you were watching. He was excellent and along with Soumare and BDCRBSPORWHATEVER was one of our best players.

weird stats, but very spursy:

«This is the first time Tottenham have lost at home to a team that had lost their previous seven league games since 1912, when they did so against Notts County.»

Fan-****in-Tastic!!
What about the keeper eh! And dogbob was great, two assists!
Ruud's substitutions, when we had 3 centre-backs, I thought we looked solid at the back then.....until the new boy came on, that was such a gamble, and from his couple of touches and positioning in those few minutes, ugh. Unfortunately, that told a lot more than his video in the changing rooms.

Oh, so you have a man on the inside? Good to know TSC

One member of the current squad, a load of ex-academy lads and two youth coaches. So sometimes I get bit of “inside info.” That can change easily when the player I know leaves!

One thing about Winks.

He loves celebrating a goal against Spurs. It’s great.

I spoke to his girlfriend last season, as I was sitting next to her and Harry’s mum in the Players’ Lounge. She said he absolutely hated it at Spurs in the end. Horrible club, horrible people running it. That he really loved it at Leicester and we’re a much friendlier club.
