Micro fracture is not a radical treatment, it is quite commonly done. We may have to treat him like Ledley King at spurs, minimal training so he can play matches.

The treatment that Tunchev has recieved suggests to me that he has a good chance of playing again. Long gone are the days whereby a cruciate ligament injury or cartilage injury finishes a career. Tunchev just appears to have had a whole lot of bad luck on his road to recovery. I suspect that he may well return but it may take him a great deal of rehabilitation before he reaches full fitness.

Its very common in modern knee replacement surgery. Wow, I've actually remembered something from work :icon_lol:

It is not common in total knee replacements as you remove the cartilage and some bone. They may do it in uni knee replacements but i would have thought very rarely. Arthroscopy is the most likely operation to have it done in.
