Twenty20 is back!

First game tonight against derby who have scored 165-5. good total after we started well and kept them to 12-0 from four overs.

Able to listen to matches through tune-in radio on the iPhone this year rather than being sat near the pc!

lost 2 quick wickets but still up with the run rate

Just got back from Glamorgan where Jimmy Allenby won the man of the match for them with a 54 against Gloucs. Shame he's not with us for the Twenty20.

149-8 from 18 overs (reduced due to rain). 19 scored from the final over makes it quite a good total.

McDonald scored well with 49. We are really going to miss him. Also excellent innings from Henderson with 32 off 14 balls.

those late runs proved to be the vital in a good victory:038:

Another good result that didn't look like happening with a mediocre total.

Although we have yet to post a big score we are doing very well with the ball.

Apart from the Derbyshire game we have bowled well. Although we had a great start in that game.

Northants given too many runs again tonight. Decent batting but the target was a big one off 18 overs. Disappointed, I thought we'd do ok this year

What's Gurney done to deserve his place in the team?

Against Lancs he only bowled one over, for 13 runs. At Durham he went for 54 from 4 overs, then 37 from 3 overs tonight.

Up until 3 games ago he had been really economical this season and last. But in the last 3 matches he has really been smacked around. I don't think Cliff or Buck would necessarily do any better so I would play Naik as well as an extra spinner and give Gurney a rest.

I am amazed we don't play 2 spinners, when we won the competition twice we used spinners,Snape,Claude and Mongia.

Our batting is not the strongest,so we really have to bowl well to stand any chance of winning games.

Good win today v Yorkshire. Another 60 for Taylor and 3 good wickets for buck. Thanks to the length of this competition we are definitely not out of this yet
