I see some of the squad went a little over the top on twitter. Peltier Nugent StLedger Danns and Gallagher mainly
abusing each other in a friendly banter type way. Not sure how many professional sportsmen would use the term "cock breath " to describe a fellow team mate.

Agreed. Young blokes taking the piss out of each other. I know that I've called mates derogatory names in the past (in jest of course).

There is a slight difference between calling your mate a twat at work and commenting on a
Social network when you are in the public domain. These players have young kids following
them. I was pointing out that the manager may be a little unhappy especially they refer to
Wellens being booted out as captain. I wasn't taking the moral high ground twat face.

See, now there it is offensive! I suppose I agree that I'd prefer them to 'keep it clean' but I suppose people follow celebrities to see the more 'normal' side of them?

The reason fans follow the players is because Twitter is the only form of media where the players normally speak their mind rather than the media soundbites that they have to give on TV/Radio/etc. This might not always be the correct language but if you try and sensor them then Twitter will only turn into another censored form of media.

I would suggest that after a year playing in the same team they might have formed stronger friendships then they had when they all joined the club last season. Therefore helping the overall team spirit...
