I am sending off a job application and the deadline is tomorrow. its an online application and asks for a covering letter in RTF (rich text format) however the instructions on the site do not work as there is no option in the drop down box to save it as such. How else can I do this? I have office 2010, and the file is just standard microsoft word.

thanks

When you're saving it in Word,

File

Save As

And then select 'Rich Text Format' in the File Type box.

These are the only options that you have as file types to Save As in Word? You should have many more than that.

Are you sure you can't scroll to more options?

And yes thats the only options I had

I would have thought that all versions of Word would have the option of saving as rtf. Seems very odd.

Perhaps you should reinstall Office.
