Would anyone honestly be gutted if we pay 2 mill for Waghorn and he scores 10+ a season for the next 3-4 seasons? I wouldn't.

No. He has a lot of potential. 2mill would be a lot for him but I think it would be worth it instead of wasting money on foriegners that have no experience in the english game.

I'll be amazed if this is anything other than more MM smoke and mirrors, as a fop to the masses.

It's not really been publicly announced enough to reach the mercury reading masses tbh.

Twitter, Facebook, three City forums, assorted news aggregating LCFC fan-based websites, the Sunderland Echo and (I'll be amazed if it isn't) the Mercury tomorrow. Plus, I'll wager it gets an airing on tonight's Moan-in.

Seems a pretty comprehensive viral to me.

2 Million for Waghorn is far too much, he was impressive last season but he is not worth that much in my opinion, I imagine you could get Healy for 1 million.

I don't want to unduly disturb your brain cells HF, but you might need to take need to account in assessing the players values that Waghorn is 20 and Healy is a mere 31. That might make a difference to the fees that they would command??

Also it is thecase that there is a premium these days on young English strikers that would lift Waghorn's transfer value.

Unfortunately, I don't see Sunderland letting him go at the moment - and I would think that he and his advisors would have too much sense than to join us whilst Sousa is cluttering up the books with poor signings and possibly losing the confidence of the better players.

Any one listening to Five Live?

Stringy's just tweeted: "Why did Motty just say on #fivelive that Martyn Waghorn"s gone from Sunderland to Leicester? - "I think you'll find he's gone tonight"
