Waghorn is a good player but, he clearly does not fit in to Sven's system: remember him stuck out on the wing earlier in the season? If someone else is paying him and we either get him back fitter, or sell him on, that seems to be good business.

But that's because he stuck him out on the wing... I think Waggy would actually fit quite nicely in the central striker role in the system we've been playing. Pretty sure that was how he was playing towards the end of last season, when Fryatt was out, when he started getting goals.

If Fryatt, Waggy and Morrison all go, then there need to be good signings lined up, partly just to keep the fans onside as they are all popular players..

Sweeping Generalisation alert!

I don't know how the hell Howard and Bednar start before Waghorn. We all know how he is full of energy on the pitch, I bet he's desperate to get some game time. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go. - at least QPR would actually play him. If fryatt goes too, Sven better have someone better lined up to come in.
Having Bednar up front in a 4 5 ****ing 1 for the rest of the season won't even be good enough to stay up let alone hit play offs.

First Fryatt now Waggy.. if this has any truth in it I'm becoming less and less sure that Sven is the man to get us promoted.

I really don't like the idea of getting rid of good young players in exchange for big name journeymen who are after a last paycheck...

Wouldn't suprise me to be honest, the guy isn't getting games and must want to leave in all honesty.

He's looked shot to pieces from day one

Plays like a desperate man, woefully short of confidence

Absurd beyond words. Feel like I've been on another planet seeing some of these comments - he's 20, he was out in the cold at Sunderland for seasons, was rubbish at Charlton two years ago, then suddenly had an excellent season at Leicester. Perhaps because he's a maturing player and needs games. We - with the current owners intact - brought him in for £3 million, our biggest signing in ten years, and less than six months later it's okay to let him move on... I'm becoming seriously worried that we're going to end up with a team like Adams' 2003-04 effort; tonnes of experienced have-beens which have all the idiots creaming themselves, but nothing vaguely resembling a team.

If Sven can't see that he should be ahead of Bednar, Howard, Fryatt in the pecking order - or that a youngster needs games to get up to the level (as he did at the start of his loan spell) - then Sven really isn't the man for Leicester. And I'd sooner see him go before Waghorn.

Day one being this season or last season?

Weren't you the guy who, two days ago, was bemoaning the fact that all of these guys who were good enough six months ago have suddenly been deemed surplus to requirements? And I think you referred to the people on this forum as being 'idiots' for not seeing that.

So, that applies to Oakley, Howard, Brown, Berner... all over 30s. Why doesn't that apply to a 20-year-old who arguably outplayed all of them last season?
