Always difficult without knowing the full details but it's disappointing that waghorn seems unprepared to work with Sven, work with us and fight for his place. With fryatt gone, Howard effective but aging and crncic the forgotten man (I'm assuming he's still with us and training and stuff?) we are short on attacking options already.

Our bench is poor. We need a permanent solution to the full backs situation and a couple of wide midfield players to give us a 4 4 2 option. Up front, if waghorn does go, we need one or two more options.

I did wonder if Parker or Jason Roberts might come in during this window. Sounds from interviews like fazackerley was unaware Parker had gone elsewhere. I'm sure that's not true but perhaps he wanted to appear a bit blasé. Either way I'm sure we have irons in plenty of fires.

I think it's more a case of him thinking he's better than he is - and given that we threw a massively inflated fee at Sunderland, I'm not surprised that he's got carried away.

I also doubt that not working hard is the problem. He always looks a very busy and committed player to me. I think he's just ordinary and no better than a squad player at this level. I doubt whether we could achieve more than a small fraction of the fee paid out.

I still think he could be a quality player in this league. He turns 21 today, he's got plenty of time to develop.

It would help if he wasn't played on the fecking wing all the time! Not that I think he should be playing ahead of Yak or Vassell.... but he's just not been given a chance this season. I hope he goes on loan for a month and comes back on better form. He needs game time.

I would much rather have him in the squad than Howard.

It wasn't specified which, all Sven said was that Waghorn wanted footbal and had asked to leave to get it. Dagnall then interpreted this as meaning he wants to leave for good which allows people to get irate and tell him byeeeeeeeeee etc. It could be either.

I have no respect for players who are happy if they're not playing. It must be particularly frustrating without a reserve team as there is very little chance to earn a place in the first team.

Derby are never going to be promotion candidates, which is why I was so happy to see them fall down the table (Savage's twitter soon shut up around this time, no more "WE ARE GOING UP" videos).
