We will certainly find out over the next 5 or so weeks re Taylor's intentions.

The t20 success can't mask the fact that we have generally played some pretty dreadful cricket this season as those of us who regularly watch it know only too well. Personally I think Grace Road is a really relaxed and friendly place to watch county cricket and if the weather is good the poor performances don't totally bother me as much as perhaps they should.

It's a tricky one for Taylor because moving counties could affect his form - but I would have thought that the advantage of playing in Division 1 would edge the matter. If Bopara is the main obstacle to being ' the next cab in the line' then playing at the higher level might help.

I suspect Bopara will offer all the help Taylor needs.

I noticed when looking at the cricket fixtures that if England happen to call up Taylor for the India ODIs to give him exposure, next week could be his last CC game of the season - and for Leics full stop?

Interesting tweet from Josh Cobb to James Taylor! (in response to a comment by Taylor to someone about seeing them next season at grace Rd)

@jamestaylor20 @blueyboi will you be there playing or watching James?? #signyourcontract!!

Another ton from Taylor yesterday in the ODI series - 2 in 3 games. An ODI call-up looming surely, no-one has scored more one-day runs this summer than him.
