I just got a new watch for Christmas and it's a couple of links too big - just wondered if anyone had dealt with getting links taken out before? I got it off Amazon, so I'll have to take it into a jewellers that I've not bought it from. Will I be charged for doing it? If so, how much roughly? Can I get it done there and then, or will I have to leave it with them? Any reccommendations on where to go?

Any help is much appreciated.

Try the police - if you have troublesome lynx they should remove them for free.

If you call Sky you might get on the tele too.

No. You were funny when you first arrived, your fans just won't stand for this rubbish. Try again :018:

They're not that fickle. Hang on, being City fans they probably are.

Shit.

I was going to move on to 'Lynex removal' but that probably won't work either.

I feel such pressure now, I hate celebrity - the My Bookywook man was spot on about it. It's made me so sad.

Sorted, got some fella on the market to do it for me, and only £3.50. Ruddy, bloody bargain.

Bloody hell, even I can remove links from a watch, and I'm female!!

Don't be so sexist! :018: I've just never done it before, I don't have the tools to do it and even if I did, I just don't have the inclination to start banging pins in and out of a £140 watch when I don't have a clue what I'm doing! I should've brought it round to your place, that's £3.50 down the drain...

That's not a bargain.

It is to me, it took two minutes and saved me a whole bunch of hassle, easily worth parting with a few quid. H.Samuel wouldn't do it on the spot and wanted me to come back tomorrow and they were asking for a tenner. :102:

I wouldn't have bothered, if I were you; I'd have charged you a tenner!!

I don't have the tools to do it

My last few watch straps have been adjusted by means of nothing more than a strong push-pin.

It's actually quite easy once you get over the fear factor!
