"In the end we have got the best deal possible for the club, which could free up some funds to allow me to bring in some fresh faces."

This is a really really poor decisions and underlines as if it were needed the current boards amibition. Wankers, the lot em.

1966 reckons we are replacing the likes of Williams with loan signings, he is usually well informed. If so seems OK, might give saturdays game a miss though

TBH Duzza, thats all what will be available to us. Also all the better players available will already have gone and again we will be left with the dross

Absolutely, if the cnuts were any clever and realisitic, they would of sold someone at the start of Jan and any loans can be in the rest of the month. Thick cnuts running the club. I think the board had a say in this decision, so fecking thick it's unbelieveable.

I reckon Homer for club chairman.

Williams On The Move
Gareth Williams today (Wednesday) joined Premiership side Watford for an undisclosed fee.

Midfielder Williams, whose contract with the Foxes was due to expire at the end of the 2006-07 campaign, completed a medical at Vicarage Road this morning before signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Hornets.

City boss Rob Kelly said: "Obviously Gareth is a player that I didn't want to lose, but the club accepted the offer.

"I had spoken to Gareth with regards to a new contract, but the move to Watford gives him the chance to play Premiership football. That is where he wants to play.

"In the end we have got the best deal possible for the club, which could free up some funds to allow me to bring in some fresh faces.

"Gareth is a smashing lad and has been a great servant to this football club. We wish him all the best for the future."

Williams joined the Foxes from Nottingham Forest in July 2004, and went on to make a total of 91 appearances during his two-and-a-half year stay at the Walkers Stadium.

His final start for Leicester came in their 3-2 defeat at the hands of Cardiff City at Ninian Park last weekend.

The deal was completed at 13:00 on Wednesday

TBH Hazzman thier hands were tied with the takeover, if they sold off the better players and replaced them with loans it reduces the assets, thus MM offer changing again.
If MM was in at the start of the month I think we would all be very happy with todays dealings.
