Re: Wats ur thoughts?

Nielsen - I think we definitely needed a keeper. I haven't seen him in pre-season like some of you have but I would like to think he will be solid for us this season. Happy with his signing.

Chambers - Extremely happy with this one. He has got promotion three times from the Championship so his experience will be invaluable. Much better than Maybury and will hopefully make Stearman step up his game.

N'Gotty - Along with Clemnce the best two signings of the summer. Exactly what we need at the back. McAuley and Kisnorbo are good players but Bruno's ability and experience is a fantastic asset to us.

Newton - Totally under whelmed by this one. He didn't pull up any trees when he was here on loan. I'll give him a fair go but I hope Kaebi comes back and turns out to be decent VERY SOON.

Kaebi - Very excited to see how he performs. It's nice for us to think outside the box and sign a total unknown - at least to English fans. Even if he doesn't succeed with us I applaud Milan and Martin for this signing.

Clemence - As stated earlier, along with N'Gotty our best signing of the summer. Perfect Captain material and EXACTLY what we need in midfield.

Kishishev - Good solid signing who I think will do a very good job for us this season in a very understated way. Good foil for Clemence in midfield and he offers versatility.

Hayes - Totally unknown but if he has a left foot and can cross a ball he is worthy of a go.

Hellings - I have a complete open-mind on this signing. Judging by MA's selections in pre-season I certainly do not see him starting as a first-team regular - he may not even make the first-team squad. Yes he came through the Ajax youth system so he must have something about him (hopefully). The jury is out on Sergio.

Campbell - Another excellent signing. Will definitely score goals for us. All three signings from Birmingham have been excellent in my opinion. Hume and Campbell inspires me so much more than Hume and Fryatt. I hope MA can get the best out of him again like he did at Brentford.

Cort - At least the physio will not be lonely this season. I can see why we took a chance on him but I doubt he will play much this season. If I am wrong and he does play his fair share of games I believe he will score goals for us. Decent signing on a free if he is on little wages.

Sappleton - Doubt he will play in the first-team this season but good luck to the kid. I hope his only resemblance to Heskey is not in the looks department.

Neilsen - No. Probably be replaced by Henderson or a new signing
N'Gotty - Solid. Good signing.
Sappleton - Excellent (for 2008/09) - just the odd game this season
Cort - If he was to be largely injury free (as likely as finding an igloo in the Sahara) he could do what Brian Deane did for us in our promotion season. But likely to play as often as Lee Morris
Hellings - 'Relegated' to amateur football last season, and it will show why.
Kishishev - Good signing. Will do well
Chambers - Excellent, as long as he is played on the right and not the left
Hayes - fringe player, probably do well in a cup game against a lower league team.
Kaebi - the joker in the pack. could be world class - and could be s**t. If the former, MM is going to get the whole of his transfer outlay back in one go before too long.
Newton - Useful to draft in, now and again. Average or slightly above at this level.
Clemence - Star man. Will run the midfield. We haven't seen this here since Neil Lennon.
Campbell - will score and do well. But he's not a big guy and needs to play alongside one to do his best (with Hume playing behind them)

Good comments londonfox, agree in most of them, but I'm a bit worried about N'Gotty's pace. It's important to have fast central defenders, does Bruno have the pace to make it?

if we were in the prem then pace would be a issue but he did well for Birmingham and looked solid in pre-season
a good buy by MM

Also Nielsen looks the business in goal not a flapper like Logan

Nielsen - danish, but apparently no schmicheal

Chambers - decent signing with a good deal of experience in getting out of this division all be it from the subs bench

N'Gotty - tons of experience very little pace if he can command the back 4 then his pace shouldnt matter too much, but if he doesnt gel then we will struggle down the middle

Newton - to me i think he will be the surprise signing of the summer,i know he didnt do a lot last year but that ws in a very poor team hopefully this year with better players around him he will become a regular 1st teamer.

Kaebi - absolutely no idea about this bloke apart from a couple of u-tube vids , im told he has pace which is lacking in our squad, hats off to MM and MA for signing him and taking the chance

Clemence - best signing of the summer by far has proven qualities which we woefully lacked last year and will be the kingpin of any promotion push.

Kishishev - will be the unsung hero in our ranks, real gritty ball winner without doing the spectacular wil be an everpresent in the squad.

Hayes - unknown but hey he,s a winger!

Hellings - i think the name hellings will be a distant memory by the next transfer window, cant see him making any impact on the first team

Campbell - this is the signing i really want to work, if he does then he will be up there with the leagues top scorers and more than repay the money we spent on him, but ive just got this niggling feeling it wont work out for him and he may be another one on the way come next jan, i really hope not though.

Cort - havnt got a clue why we signed this bloke, unless he,s good at gardening and can tend to the new blue and whiter flowers, he certainly wont be doing too much on the field

Sappleton - from what im told he has a bit of a attitude problem, one for the future i think but only if that problem goes away.
