Ridiculous to suggest he will play for England, although his batting and fielding have much improved.
His bowling is a bit too wayward, he can take wickets but bowls too many four balls. According to cricinfo his strike rate is 61, which is good, economy is 4.1 which is shocking!
First class batting average of around 25; bowling average 41 +. If it was the other way round then he would be a top player.
That said we've got a number of other players who are also not quite good enough.
I get the impression that he is a really committed player who gives of his best. I just don't think he is quite good enough for a regular place in the team - but he may still improve.
