Were we wrong to let him go

Doesn't matter what your comparing it to, your still saying you would have milan spend 5mill on Ade.

how? i would rather we didn't sign either player, but Ade offers more. £5m or £1.6m Ade would still be a much more useful player IMO, but I wouldn't sign him....difference is that DJ isn't public enemy yet

You think ade is better than DJ?

yes, i wouldn't spend £1.6m on either. where is the evidence that he isn't? even when ade wasn't scoring goals during his successful spell at burnley (not a great team) he still posed a threat to the defence, DJ does not. DJ does not look like scoring either as he doesn't get near to having chances

Im sorry but i certainly do not share your view on this one. Can you not remember Ade being ranked as the worst striker in the league?

The amount of ridiculously easy chances he squandered. Im sorry but the guy was a laughing stock, i was ashamed to have him anywhere near our team.

Dj looks far from immense, however he's rarely featured. I just think to say you would rather spend 5mill on an equally if not more inept player is just a bit silly.

But that must be down to our lack of ability in creating chances for the front men, the goal scorers on saturday prove it.

He bagged a hatful of goals off the bench for brum last season. The difference? they actually had a midfield.

I cant believe we are debating whether akinbiyi was a good player for us.

He is the worst striker to have ever worn the Leicester shirt IMO

my point is that the value for money for someone who has scored 24 league goals since turning professional or someone who had done well at 3 previous (and 2 following leaving us) shows one is a much riskier gamble. campbell does not get into positions or create positions to miss the chances Ade would, and probably still will. DJ's millions of league goals that he scored last season was how many? 9?

as for being the worst striker in the league, that was at a higher level and the media love big money players falling flat in the premiership....drogba was to be a good example in his first season but they proved him wrong, they delight in players such as rebrov turning out to be crap due to the money spent on them. in championship money DJ could well be an Ade

I think you've misunderstood the point of the debate to be honest

We are debating whether getting whether 5mill for akinbiyi is a better deal than 1.6 for DJ.

Ade was for 2 years.
DJ has not had half a season and some are branding him a flop.

which is not whether he was a good player for us, just which one looks like a shitter deal

Bad buy was not the worst player ever, yes he put in some poor performances but the rest of the team around him were sh$te. He suffered from having an inflated price tag on his head (Blame Taylor) no support and a distinct lack of confidence. I know he has not been great at other clubs since.

The loss to Wycombe was not his fault but I agree that was a pivotal moment in our downwood slide.

IMO there are a string of suspects who can claim to be the worst Player. He doesn't even come close.
