I must admit that my first instinct (and as a qualified ref) was for a yellow, and a red for Kasper (violent conduct rather than dogso). On seeing the replays though, I'd swap that around (would still have given a penalty).

Definite pen. Could debate whether Kasper deserved a red, but we couldn't have too many complaints if he got one.

I listened to that this morning. Interesting that he said there could be "one or two" arrivals. He was also talking specifically about the midfield area.

In addition to Inler, we were certainly trying very hard to sign Aranguiz who is a more creative/attacking midfielder than anyone we've got.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if we chuck a huge bid in for a marquee 'number 10' before the window closes to try to take advantage of our promising start. Ranieri does like the option of three in midfield sometimes and this would enable this.

My personal choice would be Fekir from Lyon.

I thought Phillips came across well. I liked the fact that he was keen to learn from Ranieri and saw working with him as an opportunity to improve his coaching abilities.

Fuchs, Kante and now Fekir? Would be pretty funny

Ref didn't give a penalty, so how can it be?
Because he and his assistant missed it, it was cleverly done, but none the less it could and should have been given. If it been the other way about we would have still been moaning about poor refereeing.

No it was brown nose fantasising. I imagine he will go to a champions league club within a couple of seasons at this rate.

Absolutely no foundation to this whatsoever. Having said that, given the money we were reputedly prepared to throw at Aranguiz, this sort of target is no longer beyond us financially. We could offer them £15m and triple his current wages.

The only motivation for the likes of Rodriguez and Falcao at Monaco under CR was the fat pile of cash on offer.

My original point stands. That is, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a major attempt to get a major name before the window closes.

Clearly upheld because, whether intentional or not, it was dangerous play!

Slaven Bilic having a moan in his column in tonight's Evening Standard, about Adrian's sending off, claiming "the ref could have given Jamie Vardy a red card for something definitely more deliberate"
