I welcome Hayles' honesty - what a change, a footballer who tells it like it is.

From Leicester's viewpoint this could be a relatively decent signing. After all we don't have too many strikers whose reputation is based on actually scoring a few goals.

Why would Hayles be excited about coming to Leicester? The likelihood is uprooting his family, moving to a less attractive part of the country, most likely warming the bench for most games - and then being shunted out when his short term value is expended.

Yes - we had echoes of that stereotypical mentality and petty vindictiveness this week on the forum - when a pretentious and useless bunch (I have promised myself not to refer to them by name again) proudly informed us that they had advised our owner against the appointment of one of the few experienced and available managers who might have averted this season from being yet another write-off.
