Can you remember how you felt this Sunday exactly 2 years ago, compared to how we feel now? It is something I will never forget.

NP for PM - he gets my vote!!

I was at the Britannia that day. That was one of the worst days of my life, it hurt for weeks and weeks afterwards.

I would have laughed if you'd have told me we'd be where we are now 2 years ago.

Given that I'm too young to really appreciate the MON days, let alone the Bloomfield or Gillies days, Pearson is the hero for my generation. Never been so excited about the direction City are heading. Every nerve in my body is tingling with anticipation for the play-offs :)

Great shout KP, I was thinking this only today when hearing of Sheff Weds' plight.

I think what NP and his team have achieved here is nothing short of outstanding.

would like to know what the odds were off mandaric's 3 year plan to get to the premiership shortly before we were relegated in the first year. Obviously we are not there yet but could have been worth a punt.

Have a word with yourself. You seen their first choice centre-half pairing? Gary Doherty and Michael Nelson.

Open division next season...if we don't do it now, I fancy us as champions next season.

Not to mention their Centre-Mid Stephen Hughes :icon_conf

Bright young manager, momentum, decent sized club few additions why not?

Cos they're carrot crunching bumpkins, seriously don't rate their side tbh. Depends whether they splash the cash and I don't think Lambert's much cop either.

He couldn't have done a better job for them this season.

I agree. I can't see how Lambert can get anything but praise after this season. I think Norwich could easily end up doing well next year.

I agree!

Obviously excluding the teams that will stay down this year, two of Forest/Cardiff/Blackpool, and a couple of other maybes such as Reading and Swansea, I can't really see Burnley or Hull being that strong next year, and Pompey could be anywhere between a Newcastle or a Middlesbrough.

Alternatively we may go up, in which case I think we'll struggle to be champions....

From the teams that are going up/down, it does seem like next season would be an easier season so if we weren't to make it this season, I would be quietly confident that we could perhaps get automatic promotion next season - obviously I would hope it wouldn't come to that.

On the other hand, we've had luck on our side a few times this season, and we might lose a few players if we dont go up, so we need to seize the opportunity when it comes to us

We've had just as much bad luck as good luck throughout the season, as usual it's evened itself out. I don't know how you can say we've ridden our luck at all. I agree we should take the opportunity while it comes, but I think you're not giving the side enough credit there.

That's how I feel. Glass half full!

This season, yes but his career elsewhere is hardly smashing stuff.

Neither was Pearson's before he took the Leicester job, but that turned out alright.

He didn't actually say that at all, he just said we've been a bit lucky on a few occasions this season, which we have. Reading away and Plymouth at home spring to mind...
