He has had 10 operations since joining Sunderland!!! Tough on the lad. He was a wonderful player when he was here, will always be remembered for the last ever goal at Filbert Street, I also remember him turning Desailly in and out and skinning defenders for fun...

Matty Piper. Now I know there is many a mackem that will disagree with me but i reckon the lad is finished.

On the occasions that Ive seen him there's no doubt he has a bit of flair which sadly lacks in our side (Arca and Bridges apart). But the thing that always struck me about Piper was that he could never get a decent ball across. He was forever knocking against the defender.

I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery and gets a prolonged run in our team, but I honestly reckon he's finished...

Now just changing the subject. what are your thoughts on mary Poppins (alan shearer) especially the treatment he gave out to Neil Lennon.
