Another installment of Bonzo and the boys flogging a dead horse for Xmas presents will be in the shops on Novemember 6th, same day as Oasis release their collection of tired Beatles covers, sorry, Best Of.
please tell me an original song written by oasis that sounds like any beatles song because none spring to mind

Here's Noel on his song writing technique:

All I ever wanted to do was make a record. Here's what you do: you pick up your guitar, you rip a few people's tunes off, you swap them round a bit, get your brother in the band, punch his head in every now and again, and it sells. I'm a lucky bastard. I'm probably the single most lucky man in the world -- apart from our Liam.

I think its hard to find many current guitar bands that aren't directly or indirectly influenced by the Beatles.

I know there was a whole thread about someone saying they were shit but as I tried to point out within that thread you might not like them but you can't describe them as shit.

Some people consider Helter Skelter by the Beatles to be the first real heavy rock track, so bands like Slayer and Motorhead could be considered to be indirectly influenced by the Beatles.
