I'm not questioning your opinion, some people are easily impressed, I understand that.
I'm questioning your use of the word 'awesome', it doesn't work in that sentence.
Song lyrics can not be 'awesome', they can be clever, witty, intelligent, moronic etc but I can't see how they could inspire awe in anybody.

they did me. i sat there and cried and praised the good lord. never felt so fulfilled in all my life apart from that bargain bucket i polished off the other night
