I remember the story John Peel told of how they managed to get Peel to listen to a demo tape of theirs - they turned up at the BBC radio studios late one night ( as Peel did the late show ) with a vegetable curry for him. Peel loved them. Shame that the singer descended into addiction, which lead to his death ultimately, it broke Peel's heart I recall. The end of a good band too soon I'm afraid.

Still playing, and worthy of seeing. Guess it depends on your definition of what the band is but I enjoyed them the last time.
