OK things are horrible at the moment, results are poor, confidence is low, fans are frustrated, angry, etc. Of course it could be worse, not much granted but it could be worse. I don't think the board will sack CL even if things stay the same, relegation might be a different story.

Assume CL stays, what should the management, coaches, players, be doing to turn things around? We don't have much cash so loans are as much as we can do in the transfer market. MA Thought La Manga would help his team avoid relegation! What can these guys do to drive the change thats needed?

I'm at a loss really, because I don''t think we have the intellect or the mental strength to turn the season around very much. We seem stuck in this spiral of poor results, demotivation, lack of confidence etc.

Ideas folks?

a couple of days out on the lash around Mablethorpe, it'd be lovely this time of year.

Get a good striking coach in

Get a settled left back in.

Get a goalscoring striker in on loan or give Hume a run of 10 games.

can someone rename this thread the east coast thread.

I reckon they should be made to work at Grimsby fish market to show them what real hard work is.

Portsmouth dismiss manager Perrin

Portsmouth have sacked manager Alain Perrin after just eight months.

Coach Joe Jordan will take temporary charge of the club, who meet champions Chelsea on Saturday.

Chairman Milan Mandaric said: "This has not been an easy decision. Alain is a talented coach and a good man who has worked extremely hard since arriving.

"However, the view taken is that recent performances and the general morale amongst the squad needed improvement. We are all extremely grateful to him."

Perrin took charge in April and kept the club in the Premiership but they have posted only two wins this season and lie one place above the relegation zone.

Following a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday, Mandaric was thought to be on the verge of dispensing with Perrin's services but then appeared to have a change of heart.

As recently as Wednesday, he announced Perrin would in charge for the "forseeable future".

However, Perrin's record of four wins in 20 Premiership games has proved his downfall.

The fans perspective that we have a God given right to be in the premiership/ winning every game/ playing total football/ not making miskates blah blah blah :icon_roll
