What's that word for duplicating a word?

Darth has used it before, for instance if I put "...in conclusion, I myself, think that..."

The closest I can find is pleonistic, but I don't think that is what I am thinking of.

Emphatic pronoun, I think

Or a reflexive one

Or that might be complete bollox

Duplication?

there is a really strange tendency of people to use "myself" and "yourself" lately instead of me/i/you

"john and myself went the pub"
"sent that to myself"

urgh

Nothing strange about that at all, I think it's just the rest of the British Isles catching up with us in Ireland on how to speak correctly. :icon_wink

I think you'll find it is Tautology, ie using two (or more) words that mean the same thing. for example I, myself or; suddenly without warning.

I stumbled into this thread and suddenly realised i should have taken more notice of my english teachers at school cus i haven't heard of any of these words that have been mentioned.

in conclusion i'm a thick twat

nah, you now use it in another thread and look like a smart arse git :)

that's what i did!

I thought tautology meant using two conflicting word, ie it is isn't it

conflicting things are a contradiction...the opposite to a tautology

"it is, isn't it?" is just a question
