Where do you all reckon you'll finish this season?

I reckon we'll finish top 6 (preferably 1st) and you wont, but as last season proved "It's a funny ol game" although it was no laughing matter at the Walkers!
In CL, we now have a man in charge that has some good, positive ideas and providing that all the new players can gel well, we will be there or there abouts. (Also providing that our so called supporters give the team and the manager time!!!!)

I think we will be top 10, we appear to have an excellent keeper, back line and midfield and have some decent strength in depth in these positions. Our achilies heel will be the forward line, if CL can bring in a decent striker, and Connolly and MDV play to their full potential and can score on a regular basisthen we can easily reach the play offs and maybe even sneak automatic, if they dont and we continue to struggle to kill teams off then we will miss out on the play off's and finish between seventh and tenth.

I can only go on what I believe Highland. We don't have a forward line, crosses come in and the big lads do nothing with it or they get played through and always try and take an extra touch. I can't believe posters are saying 'give CL time to make a difference', 'don't expect miracles' and then saying we'll finish in the play offs...
We don't have a God given right to win and we've been spoilt until a couple of years ago.
There are 23 teams hungrier to win than us in this league based on what I saw tonight...

You may well be right but I wouldn't doubt the 'commitment' from the team,CL will not tolerate 'Wasters' believe me.I think you are right about the forwards though I see no reason to expect any difference from last season,much of a muchness IMO.

I think 8th... We'll be top half (above 12th) but miss out on the playoffs. So somewhere between 7th and 12th. Although, with a lot of new players, it's difficult to tell.

How can you assess our will to win based on a friendly with 6 first teamers missing and playing against Italian opposition.

Hopefully at least in the play offs. If we perform like we did in at the end of last season then could do better. After going to the Inter game last night I definitely believe the additions heave improved us.

Top half will do me, anything above 12th, top 6 would be a bonus tho!

After seeing the Inter game last night, although we didnt set the world alight, it was a vast improvement on last season, and with the injured and rested players back in the first team ie Connolly, hughes, maybury etc we will be a good footballing side that will be hard to beat. Agreed we need another striker, although I do think that MDV and Connolly will bag afew between them.

I am confident with this crop, although If I dont set my sights too high, I cant be that disappointed......... can I?
