Does anyone know where Silver lives coz I'm getting rather concerned for his welfare. :icon_eek:

Silver, he's only 1 player, he wasn't that prolific for us, he will be replaced, now put that knife down . And that rope as well, not forgetting the scissors..........

Now climb down off the ledge, spit the pills out, take that noose from around your neck. :056:

Now go and have a wash to remove the petrol

What's that hose doing going into your car window..?....

I've just had one of those days! But you just have to get on with it. Look forward, not back.

It's not the end of the world Highland, we have just f*cked any slim chance we had of scrapping a playoff place and instead entered our hand in to the relegation battle, that's all.

there was no certainty DC was going to score 20+ goals anyway. who knows he could have got injured and fecked it anyway. nothings certain in football and as city fans we know we have to roll with the punches and expect these things, its happened before today and it will happen again in the future but its not the end, not by a long way. and no one can tell the future.

We can argue until the Cows comes home but in the end he's gone.I'm sorry but if we were relying on 1 player to get us promoted then we were fecked before we even kicked a ball.

I have calmed down a bit now, just can't really understand where we are heading currently. The Hammond deal looks like a desperation move to me. I really hope he and Hume do the biz for us, I just have mt doubts.

Fair enough DF but maybe CL knew someone else had their eye on Hammond so he thought he'd 'sort it' now and get him long term.I've not seen Hammond play but from what I can gather we have had a lot worse players for a lot more more money.

Totally agree Highland, Elvis has done ok, his only mistake he hasnt scored in the last and only 2 games he has started in for us. As for his and Hume's record with other clubs, I could not give a shit, it is about what they do for Leicester that matters.

I remember us paying 5m for a striker with an excellent scoring record with other clubs, and 1.5m for a striker who had taken division 2 by storm scoring for fun, how did they work out again.....oh yeah they were criticised for being 2 of the worst players seen at this club and were part of the reason we are where we are today.

Reputations good or bad mean nothing, players who are flops at one club can click at another or vice versa, that is the wonderful thing aboutfootball. Give these players a chance, they may well do the business, they may not, but at least allow them the opportunity.

Can we all just reserve judgement fo another month before we hit the big blue panic button.

Yes you have to give the players a chance, izzet, lennon, guppy, savage etc weren't exactly stars when we signed them.

The concern is more the lack of ambition from the club.

I Believe with so many clubs looking for strikers Hume is about the best we could hope to get, i would sooner have him than some premiership has been.

Hammond i question, while he has done okay, i don't feel 300k is good buisness for us. Fulham will be laughing. i believe he is here to make up the numbers, and for us £300k is a lot of money sitting on the bench.

I would have liked to have seen money invested in defence, left back in particular.

I Believe if Leicester City really wanted to push for promotion CL would have had nearly all the money from DC, not Half!

Hold on - how much money do you think Leicester City has received for Connolly? Deduct his agent's percentage and take away the West Ham slice - and I guess that we have spent a good chunk of it.

I agree with you about Hammond. That looks to me like a crazy piece of business - £300,000 for a free transfer merchant already on loan to us. Was it really £300,000 or is that speculation - on some sources it indicated an 'undisclosed' fee.

As for ambition -this is a board with no financial clout so its a sort of Foxes Trust in suits! Obviously, there paramount concern is to avoid going back into administration -so you can't expect too much ambition.

I read somewhere that it was £225k and could rise to £350 if we got promotion/Elvis scored loads of goals, etc.

Considering how everyone on here was raving about him, It doesn't sound that bad a piece of business to me?

I thought the ambition of the Board was to build for a sustainable future in the Prem some time soon - not head back into administration (and possible relegation)?

Let's see how we are doing at Christmas.

We've had some good players here before who never got a chance, but did well elsewhere (Mark Bright, Cresswell, to name two). Even Akinbuyi is scoring goals nowadays!

Hadn't considered agent fees, did west ham have a sell on clause?

The official site says it could rise to £350k, skysports says an initial £225k, £300 is a round number between the two.

You have to speculate to accumulate! the long term financial future of any club outside the premiership is uncertain. investment now 'could' result in big rewards in the form of the premiership and all the money that comes with it. If the club was so desperate that we would go bust without keeping that £1mil, we wouldn't have spent what money we have, prior to selling connolly. clearly the club could afford to stay affloat without his departure. our balance might be healthier. but will that be the case in the long term?

I agree with you. The position of a middle sized club like Leicester is bleak unless established or at least yo-yoing with the premiership. How things have changed -when I was a kid, it was widely held that Leicester were better off with a winning side in the old second division rather than a losing side in the old first division.

But for this shambles to be a winning side week in and out, we'd need to be in the conference...
