The "club captain" doesn't necessarily have to be someone who plays regularly, much of the role involves off the field stuff anyway.

The only thing an on the field captain needs to do is call heads or tails before kick-off. Traditionally it's someone who can lead by example and motivate the other players, but you don't need to be captain to do that.
So I really don't care who gets the job, it could change every match as far as I'm concerned.

It is certainly true that the captain does not need to be loud. In the Bloomfield days Birchenall and Worthington were both very vocal and Shilton at 20 was willing to "Schmeikel" his much more experienced back four but the captain was the quiet David Nish.

I like to think that they are all captains. I'd like to see them wearing sailors uniforms and dancing like pixies as they scrub the decks of the good ship Walkers, supping rum from a bottle and splicing the mainbrace. ****ing faggots.

Neither of them measures up to MM. Sorry girlies, Michael's the one. For, erm, whatever we're talking about, I mean. Ahem :icon_redf

You can see the outline of Morrison's balls too, which you can't with the other 2, so it's hard to compare.
