Yes it is

What is more sensible than playing your leading scorer up front. :? :?

MON used to play Muzzy up front from time to time IIRC.

I voted for Blake.

In the short time he's had on the pitch since CL took over he seems to be a much better player than he was under MA. So maybe he's undergone a Gillespie style transformation. I'd like to see him given a chance before we write him off, and if he does play I hope the fickle bonehead supporters don't boo him when his name is announced.

Because Steven I thought we wanted to get away from playing players out of position i.e Scowcroft on the wing.Nalis is a good 'Midfielder' and should play in Midfield regardless of how many goals he scores.

I respect the depth, strength and breadth of your argument. However it may be, given that he is our leading scorer, that he is already playing out of position and should in fact be up front.

It's a theory webbo, but do you think he can deputise for Connolly in any respectable capacity?

I also respect depth, strength and breadth of your argument Steven however on this occassion I can't help but think you are talking out of your backside.Playing Nalis upfront is the idea of a fool.

I would laugh my gonads off if CL played him up front tomorrow. :P :P

I voted for Blake, as the last few times I've seen him, he looks like he is now putting the effort in. I think he's been harshly treated by a section of the fans, granted he looked poor at the beginning of the season, but so did the majority of the team.

I'm glad that it appears that CL has seen the obvious shortcomings that a certain Mr Benjamin has in the football skills department.

I do actually think that Blake could do well if he partnered Scowcroft upfront as he is a striker and the only other one that is a proper striker in the list is Wright who I think is to young. Blake is a natural striker and could score some goals so I think CL should give him a proper chance as he hasn't really had one this season. You never know he might do well.

I think given the right chance Blake could perform for us as he is a proper striker and might be able to finish Scowcrofts flick ons which Connolly doesnt seem to be able to do.

I voted for Blake to.

For once webby I agree with you. Blake looks so much sharper and eager to get forward. In the few games levein has chucked him on with 10 mins to go, he's looked good. He gets my vote anyway.

I've gone for Wright as too young is not a reason for me. I'd rather give him a chance than a journeyman like Nathan Blake, who I fear will be the likely replacement.

If not Tommy then give Morris a run.

As for playing Nalis up front, the press were speculating that Benitez might have been tempted to play Steven Gerrard up front on his return....
