Who will win the world cup?

England have won their group matches so far in the world cup, and are bookies favourites to win. But can England do it, or will one of the Southern hemisphere teams or France take the trophy?

After today's performance, I cant see England winning it.

100+ points against Uruguay me thinks.

I would actually quite fancy them but Geordean Murphy is injured which has completely ruined their chances. New Zeeland Vs. England final. Don't worry about todays performance. Samoa will beat South Africa in my opinion. They are a great side with a true Rugby tradition. They have been one of the greatest at 7's for ages and now they look like they are a real force and 15's level.

I dont think we can meet new zealand in the final. If all goes to plan, we will play them in the semis i think.

feel sorry for the Tigers having to play whilst half their team is at the world cup, its a shame but the price they have to pay for being so good!

England can win it. The only thing that worries me is that they seem to get panicked if they are under the cosh. This doesn't often happen any more as England are usually in the driving seat from the off, but against Samoa, for instance, they looked lost when a team attacked them at the start. If we are going to win we need to be better at opposing that type of Rugby as New Zealand play in very much the same way.

I have voted for us to win it more out of patriotism than belief. If I was to vote as a neutral I would vote for the Kiwis though.

AS others, reckon it will be between Australia, NZ and us.

I was in Oz for the last lions tour ad you can't underestimate them on that basis. The Aussie fans are an extra man especially against us and NZ!!!

NZ are probably the best team attacking wise, but if we face them in the final our defence and Wilkinson will have to be on top form to stop them and to keep the scoreboard ticking over when we are under pressure.

Think we can do it, but if I was a betting man I think NZ will end up doing it

i do enjoy watching rugby and have had some good afternoons at welford, but it doesn't generate anywhere near the buzz of football

as for club rugby while the world cup is going on... crazy. i think tigers just set a club record for defeats
