Reports have indicated Mandaric was keen to land a controlling stake in the Foxes after suggesting he would not remain at Pompey in the long term.

Mandaric holds the post of non-executive chairman at Fratton Park after after selling the club to Alexandre Gaydamak last month.

"There is no truth in the story at this time. Of course I respect Leicester City Football Club and their position, but I am still chairman of Portsmouth and, while I am chairman, you have got to be faithful to them," Mandaric told the Leicester Mercury.

But when pressed on his intentions regarding Leicester, Mandaric said only: "It would not be right if I said anything more. I respect Leicester City but I am the chairman of Portsmouth and I cannot say anything while that is the case.

"I will be at Portsmouth for the foreseeable future. If there is a time for me to move on, I always said I'm not going to go away from football."

Correction - I have obviously wound you up.

Your comments are absurd - and unworthy of your obvious intelligence.

I am sorry that you have responded in this way. It is your web site and I feel that that it is inappropriate that I post on it again.

Don't do that Redditch, please.

You are one of the more sensible posters on here, and the points you have made in this debate are worth far more than the petty insults hurled your way.

Making critical comments are sadly viewed by some as 'moaning' rather than simply stating it how you see it. Carry on, please RF

Some people should take their blue-tinted Foxes Trust brand specs off and wake up to the real world (cue deleted post...)

Would you like to point out who has been making petty insults?

If you're referring to me, I was pointing out to Redditch that he's always 'misinterpreting' my comments, by doing the same thing to him. I thought maybe by doing that he'd see the point I was making, but it looks like he's yet again misunderstood me.

"99% of your posts are a moan about something......" is petty and misguided - Redditch is a good poster giving considered responses to the tragic mess that is LCFC at this moment in time

Perhaps we should all pay our £10 FT fee and sit blindly waving our ridiculous flags about the stadium while the club slowly dies on it's arse listening to Henry's Magical OAP Band ?

No it's not, it's an exaggeration, in the same way that he regularly exaggerates my posts.

I thought I'd made it clear why I posted that, maybe I should work on my communication skills.

Maybe you should

What is the point to all this arguing over a subject that will not happen soon, and if it does we wont get much/if any say in the matter.

Everyone is entilted to their own opinion whether you agree or not, but why get personal about it all. Like i said above, we can sit here and "disscuss" the matter all day, all night, we still wont make a difference, and we wont changed over peoples opinions.

FT wont have to much of a say either as they are not a major share holder, they can start a media campaign, and in MY opinion wont make much difference if they did or not.

There's a lot of raised blood pressures out there, has anyone warned the coronary unit at the infirmary yet?;)

It makes sense as it wil almost certainly help the club. Hope fully if such a takeover was to happen then there would be no small print such as Mandaric tsaking borrowed money to put into the club!! He's done well at Pompey; i do think however that he will go to someone like Wolves.

I would have to listen to what Mandaric's plans were, but based purely on what he has achieved, his enthusiasm and ambition for the game then it would have to be a yes.

What other option have we got, we cannot continue to operate in the manner we are at present, we have a board that for all their efforts are incapable of attracting the commercial revenue streams needed to enable development, continual progression and improvement. For me if it is true it would be a great opportunity and one we would be ill advised to miss.

You can ask, but I won't be there ( hangs head in shame ), I'm dogsitting in Okehampton for my sister. BTW, are you going to the Baggies? If so, I'll let you know what pub we're in ( it will be near Snow Hill station).
Dogsitting coming before LCFC "that's just not cricket" old boy you need to get your sister to take her holidays outside the footie season :icon_bigg .
I would love to go to West Brom and have a jar or 2 with you and the LB posse but you know what it's like for me to go to both home and away matches, finances and being under the thumb with the Mrs is a stumbling block when it comes to away games unless of course they are in Yorkshire.
I will try and sweet talk the Mrs to letting me go so don't rule me out not being in pub you choose.

It's a one off, sister has got hubby ( ex Marines ) tickets for the Edinburgh Tatoo, I said I'd dogsit proving it wasn't an away game. BTW, Brum ain't far from Leeds - sweet-talk the missus.

I've said all along that I don't think TD and co are the way forward, I would love them to prove me wrong but can't see it. If they are approached about a takeover we will see how real their fan status is.

Would I be right in thinking that LCFC could be picked up 'on the cheap' compared to other clubs with a similar fan base because of the non stadium ownership?
If TD is right that, if the club reached the premier league for a sustained period they could start to buy back the stadium then surely this is a good opportunity/gamble for a potential investor. Turn us into a Premier League outfit which owns the stadium, 30K+ every week! Then sell up! I'd do it.
