I've said all along that I don't think TD and co are the way forward, I would love them to prove me wrong but can't see it. If they are approached about a takeover we will see how real their fan status is.

Would I be right in thinking that LCFC could be picked up 'on the cheap' compared to other clubs with a similar fan base because of the non stadium ownership?
If TD is right that, if the club reached the premier league for a sustained period they could start to buy back the stadium then surely this is a good opportunity/gamble for a potential investor. Turn us into a Premier League outfit which owns the stadium, 30K+ every week! Then sell up! I'd do it.
We own the stadium, we owe circa £16m to the Teachers pension fund re the mortgage on it.

as i cant be arsed to read the rest of the thread and Im in a sarcastic mood.................Wouldnt Milan mandaric be behind a milan mandaric takeover?

Beat me to it!

I can't believe so many people have voted yes without knowing any details about any potential takeover.
Of all the people who could take over our club, he is one of the best known. There's a stack of information available on him and his previous club dealings. It'd be difficult to know much more about a potential investment at this stage (ie: a vaguely substantiated rumour) purely because he's very unlikely to stray from his tried and tested business methods...

id want to know his intentions first
... which you'd have to assume were the same as he's been doing for years - taking failing clubs and turning them around using his extensive prior knowledge of running football clubs as successful businesses. Presumably, when he can make a decent return on his investment, he'd actively look for the right investor to buy him out. Hopefully in a far better position that we are in now....

If so, get him in!

I cannot believe so many people have voted no without knowing his full intentions !!! Surely if that stance is taken then every answer should be Not Sure.

If Milan's track record of turning around struggling clubs into successful clubs is that good then we should welcome a bid. Why should we fear that he would do anything different with us?
My only concern would be his exit strategy several years down the line when he wants to liquidate his profits made by the club becoming successful. Could we have a clause saying he must offer to sell back to a local consortium first rather than to a potential 'asset stripper'?

i dont think anyone will walk around with a sign on their head saying asset stripper to be honest

Yes but would he welcome the input of the Foxes Trust, because if he won't I gaurentee they will initiate a campaign to scupper and discredit his bid.

The multi millionaire milan mandric versus the piss pot part time organisation. I know who my money would be on...
