Because we might soon be in a position to be looking at better than that

What and go back to the days of Adams. Just buy old spent players who just want a contract and not bother about anything else or the club.

He's a winger. I used to watch him play for Barnet in the '90s, with Marlon King. Would be good on our left side, better than Welsh, but not in the centre unless he's changed his game significantly. Doesn't fit the 'building for the future' blueprint though.

Darren Currie is better than anyone of our midfielders, or defenders who have to play in that possition. by the time MM is in and sanctioning funds for players it will be too late. and thats why a loan would be good, becasue IF MM arrives we can feck him off back to the tractor boys.

Our midfield is awfull, we need reinfiorcements now

we need a winger, and weve been building for the future for 3 years but seem to have gone backwards dramatically.

Well one of my work colleagues knows him, would you like me to get her to tell him to give Rob a call ? ;)

Surely signing a player on loan or otherwise which will benefit the team and bolster our lightweight midfield fits the blueprint as we are aiming to get promoted. If that happens we can continue building for the future with the extra cash it brings and continue to nurture our younger players. I think people have the misconception that building for the future means that all of our players have to be under 25 or something which is not necessarily true.

correct, you will never get promoted without one or 2 highly experienced players on the park, and i believe one of those has to be in midfield.

and yes polar bear give him a ring ;)

I wasn't disagreeing with the policy, just the length of time it's been going on, which Lako42 said was 3 years.

ok if you want to be correct down to the nth degree thats fine but the fact is that 3 years is nearly up, its ok to name all the shite older players we have signed but this doesnt mean we cant sign one or 2 to improve the squad now. Or are you saying we dont need to sign anyone at the moment because our midfield is perfectly fine?

No it's not.

The first of our up and coming young player signings only happened last year, either Stephen Hughes last January, or if you think he's too old to count, Patrick McCarthy a couple of months later.

yes but the plan was started much earlier, we just didnt sign anyone but the 3 year plan was made much before then. it just hasnt worked, and it wont work unless you have your experienced players aswell.

but sod the 3 year plan im talking about now and the fact we have no fecking midfield. it needs trengthening immediatly
