Download, run, choose upgrade.

Only do this if your computer has an upgrade reserved. Don't think it has been tested without. Worked for me.

And then after you have upgraded (but only after as your hardware won't be licensed unless you have upgraded first) you can, if you wish, do a complete fresh install.

I don't have a reservation, that I know of. The icon doesn't appear anyhow. How do I get a reservation is it just sit and wait?

Only one of my three PC's received the reservation icon. With the others I applied a batch file (can send on request) which 'forced' it to appear.

However, I got fed up with waiting and downloaded the official Win10 iso from Microsoft instead and upgraded from the resulting DVD.

Seems like a lot of hassel just for an upgrade.

Anyone tried it in a touch screen device yet as I wouldn't mind giving it a try on my tablet but don't want to if it's not touch intuitive??

I tried the preview version on my tablet and it wasn't as good as windows 8.

Mine was incredibly easy. Downloaded in the background and installed in less than half an hour.

I don't think it is intended to update W10 by Service Packs.

I use it on a small laptop which has a touch screen and on which I rarely use the keyboard or touchpad. It works perfectly well and seems quicker than the replaced Windows 8.1.

There are ways of making the update notification appear but that won't necessarily make the update available any quicker. Far better to download the official ISO and upgrade using that.
