The game may have been a bit lacking in quality but it was quite enjoyable to watch

Name on the cup?

There was a time when games against Wolves were a miserable experience. They always seemed to do us in my younger memory. So many bad experiences at Molineux.

So, to do them in the league totally against the run of play and then on penalties at their own place within a few weeks . . . . Whilst they are fecking full of themselves thinking that they're something special.

Ha, ha, ha. fecking take that you dingle wankers!!!!

yeah but Walshie and Bully always made it interesting though:021:

Gray is still here and it may not be as serious as first feared. Might just be ligaments. Some positive news #LCFC

I've just had a flashback to one afternoon on the big old terrace at Wolves when we were separated by a no mans land and hurling abuse at each other from either side.

Now a few days earlier, I'd acquired a Leicester City baseball cap. I've no idea why but it was all blue with the City badge embossed on it. So, of course I was wearing it on the terrace and laughing along at the abusive chanting.

Then I heard a 'who's the wanker in the cap?' song. I grinned for a bit as it grew in volume and intensity. It was only when I realised that the City fans surrounding me were trying to disown me, that I realised that the Wolves fans were singing about me.

Oh, the embarrassment. I can feel it now.

Wolves can **** right off.

And an update from RL:

.@LCFC manager Claude Puel confirms @22Demarai will have a scan on an ankle injury tomorrow after being stretchered off against Wolves tonight.

Hopefully not as bad as suspected.

obviously not a break then otherwise he would already be in X-ray. Still if he has damaged ligaments still likely to be out for a few weeks. Feel sorry for the lad but on the bright side at least we should see Albrighton back where he belongs in the starting line up. Gray is obviously a talented player but he has not really fulfilled the early promise.

I Thought we played well, although it seems typical of this season so far that we struggle when we play well. At least we won this one.

The 2 veterans at center back seemed comfortable with each other, I suppose it's difficult to know what Maguire is going to do, but these 2 could at least predict each other.

I have a good feeling that Ghezzal will come good, he has all the attributes just needs a bit more urgency.

Iborra bossed the midfield at times, the man has a presence and I love to see him play.

If anybody has earned a place it's Albrighton, even before Gray's injury, quality passes and crosses and always reliable. MOtM for me

I think Ricardo, Silva and Okazaki would be disappointed with their performances.

Hard to judge Ward on the 90 as he wasn't particularly busy but handled everything well and seemed to give the defence confidence. There were some unconvincing penalties, but still to save 3 in 1 shootout has to be applauded.

Iborra proving his class imo.

Best passer of the ball at the club.

Not to be too grim, but sometimes ankle breaks are better than sprains and/or ligament damage. Ankle injuries are a complete bastard,

I’ve had several surgeries on mine and it’s not just a weekend in Homer’s basement that leaves me limping nowadays.

Hopefully he’s fine, ****ing horrible injury to see.

I’ve seen nothing of tonight’s game. Ultimately, I’ve been out drinking with some friends, whilst gracing the top division of the Melton Pool League. On that basis I’m going to say that we deserved the win and our name is on the cup. Hurrah.

!

You are probably too young to remember BN but believe me there was a time when Wolves really were something special.

For a number of seasons they were the main rivals to Manchester United. No club suffered as much from the ending of the maximum wage
