I've just had a flashback to one afternoon on the big old terrace at Wolves when we were separated by a no mans land and hurling abuse at each other from either side.

Now a few days earlier, I'd acquired a Leicester City baseball cap. I've no idea why but it was all blue with the City badge embossed on it. So, of course I was wearing it on the terrace and laughing along at the abusive chanting.

Then I heard a 'who's the wanker in the cap?' song. I grinned for a bit as it grew in volume and intensity. It was only when I realised that the City fans surrounding me were trying to disown me, that I realised that the Wolves fans were singing about me.

Oh, the embarrassment. I can feel it now.

Wolves can **** right off.

From now on BN you are to me ‘The wanker in a cap’

Not as bad a Enderby’s moniker though.

Sun reporting no break, rather a sprain.

Sympathy for the lad's discomfort but this made me chuckle

However to his relief, the England winger realised it was his shinpad sticking out of his sock at a strange angle… rather than a broken bone.

If it’s only a sprain he made one hell of a meal out of it.

Have you ever seen the doctors/physios give a player oxygen for a strain?
everyone's reaction at he time was it was a potential season ender, I have no problem believing his was in tremendous pain in that moment, he was also likely in a panic too, if it is just a strain, which is yet to be confirmed by the way, then he has gotten very lucky

reaction to different pain varies anyway. I smashed my arm in 6 places and that was nothing compared to over stretching a muscle in my lower leg playing football. I ended throwing up on someone up mid sprint and nearly passed out. Couldn't feel a ****ing thing two days later though and played again. Glad he seems ok.
