Wellens, Scowcroft and Hayles?!?!

Where are my glasses.....?

While the men struggled in Wales, our women were busy handing out a 4-0 trouncing of Lewes. Up to fifth now, which is top of the mini league that has developed apart from the top four fighting it out for the promotion spots.

Next up are strugglers Milwall at home. The Lionesses have only managed two points so far this season - a bore draw it is then? ;-)

Well that was a bit of a thriller, 3-2 with a fair bit of squeaky bum time between Millwall's second in the 75th minute and a red card near the end. A bit overshadowed by news that a Charlton player has been very seriously injured in their match though.

Interesting for this being played at Villa Park, and perhaps as a consequence drawing a crowd more than four times their usual size. I wonder, would we get more people giving them women's team a go if they were at the KP rather than Quorn?

I’d go if they weren’t miles away for sure.

Great news for the visibility of the women's game - one Championship match a round will be broadcast free as part of this, so should be at least a couple of matches for those who can't make it up to Quorn

Won for the first time this season today. 3-0 away against Lewes
