Does anybody know anywhere that gets rid of wooden pallets for free near to the city centre?

I've got a mini pallet you can have for nowt (had bathroom tiles on it)

There is the Pallet Man at J22 of the M62. Cheap.

Do you want someone to rid you of some pallets or do you want to acquire some ? If it's the latter how many what type and for what purpose

I want to acquire maybe 3 or 4 to try to upcycle them into an outside table of some sorts.

Cheers Cate, I could do with full size euro ones I think but will see what I can get.

No problem.

Yeah saw those, look good but I'm trying hard to do it for free if possible!

I've got a couple of double length pallets at my Leicester office which are in decent condition. The wood colour is different. I've got a Euro pallet and probably some others knocking around my warehouse. I'm in Hamilton if you want to pop in.

That would be great cheers. Would the doubles fit in a car?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you need to take care when recycling pallets like this as some of them would be chemically treated and the timber from them can be a small bit toxic, which obviously wouldn't be a problem if you're planning on bumping off the in-laws or whatever

I'll sand 'em down good 'n pwoper and then possibly stain them. I'd heard similar though apparently most don't use those techniques now. It's more a risk with what they've had stacked on them.

Just because you are all dying to know how this project is going, this is the table top. Needs to dry out then I'll sand it down, pressure wash it and then stain it.
