Also, Jessica Ennis won the Heptathlon for Britain, great performance.

Shockingly, the last individual male to win in either Olympics or WC was Jonathan Edwards in 2001. Since then, Holmes, Radcliffe, Ohuruogu and Ennis have been our individual gold medalists although the 4x100 mens team fluked a win in the 1994 Olympics.

Bolt has probably lowered the world record more in the last year than others have achieved in the last twenty years. It is normally about 1/100th per year.

I went for a jog at the start of the 10,000 metres and managed to get back 5 minutes after the race had finished.

It's a shame they were doing nearly double of what I did.
