World Cup TV coverage?

Does anybody know which broadcasting company has the rights to show the live World Cup matches?

Is it a combination of BBC and ITV or will matches be broadcast live via SKY?

The govt. havent allowed the World Cup off the list of sporting events which must be shown on normal telly. Like they did with the Home Test Series.

Off the top of my head they are the football world cup, euro champs, wimbledon, olympics, grand national, derby........there may be others...

Six Nationsl...that could be up for the chop aswell.
FA Cup Final aswell and Scots Cup Final.

The reason given for axing the Home Test Series was it was a sporting event which goes over a number of weeks making it difficult to keep having on normal five channels and the govt. would not be fufilling its role to enterain and inform. I never knew the Olympics were a three-day event.
