the question doesn't make too much sense mate!
he made it into the turkey squad and played in the world cup.
he wouldn't have had a chance getting infront of beckham/butt/scholes et al at the time.

This was when Izzet was in the form of his life in 1998/1999 - Guppy got in to the squad, so I reckon he would have got in sooner or later.
