But at least we can all hail our great new right back Paul Gallagher

A man with no pace, who cannot tackle to save his life, and who is physically incapable of heading the ball

Onwards and upwards

The one positive from tonight was that Paul Gallagher showed that he's fantastic as tackling, heading and has an abundance of pace.

I believe in angels.

And that Bakayogo is shit.

Cutting edge of a ****ing rubber, kill em.

Paul Gallagher is not a natural tackler in the way that Konch, Wes and St Ledger are. When he first came he shied out of tackles but that improved. He then went in rather desperately sometimes looking away from the ball; he tackles because he needs to and not because he wants to. This can be quite dangerous and I would have expected someone to get hurt. If I was a professional footballer I would rather get a hard tackle from someone who liked tackling and did it instinctively.

I can't imagine NP actually plans to use Gally at right back in proper games.

I'd think it was more an exercise in getting him to focus on the parts of his game that let him down most; the traits that have been identified on here as reasons he wouldn't make a good right back.

Apparently the English are the only top nation that consider tackling a desirable "skill".

What idiots, hardly as if tackling is a vital part of the game.

Maybe they should just practice passing all the time so we get that good at it we never lose the ball so never have to tackle again. Genius!

That should be the aim, we'd probably be ****ed when the opposition kicks off.

I'm glad you see it too.
