Nice one City, why not make an extra £46 minimum per season from the fans that go to all the away games and buy on pre-orders, it's not like these are loyal supporters or anything.

Fans using the pre-order system will already have paid for season tickets and gained priority by following the team in previous seasons. The club doesn't give a **** about the fans imo.

Wasn't it supposed to be £1 last year ( although they almost never applied it to me ). I must admit a £1 charge I wouldn't argue with what with the cost of postage these days.

Costs for this sort of scheme should be figured into the league reciprocal away ticket arrangements and season tickets, the fact City think they can lump any charge they feel like on the supporters is what I object to.

Think I'll not bother with the 'glamour' friendly against Sunderland to recoup some of this charge.

Think I'll not bother...

The money-grabbing insistence of players and club is causing me to lose interest more and more as time goes past.

What a shower of Bastards, As if clubs are not ripping us off enough with the price of the ticket itself.

Disgusting from the club and the lack of announcement from them is unsurprising, imagine the huge PR Campaign had they slashed a similar fee, by god we wouldn't hear the end of it.

Maybe the cavalry of the Foxes Trust will come riding to the rescue and remind Top and Pearson how often they both said they 'were so grateful to the away fans for their tremendous support'. Now they can show it by just making a reasonable postage charge, even if that means a cross subsidy from the shop or elsewhere to say thank you to the loyal support of away fans.

Same here. This will be my first season without a season ticket in about 12 years, I was planning to get to a few games but if the club keeps ripping people off by any way possible then they can get ****ed.

It seems to me that the club from start to finish has lost its way,i think the club is going to be in for a big shock from the owners to the managment to the manager and most of all to the players(we havent even started yet so thay might be in for a surprise if this team dosent get of to a flyer, they will be wanting all the support they can get,so id say they want to watch it

I've emailed the club to ask.

Historically, they've applied a 50p fee a couple of seasons ago, to cover postage, but as mentioned above, it wasn't applied last season. Most of the time we've used the scheme, there's been no charges.

I'd also add that the admin fees when booking home tickets online are unacceptable, as is the club using an 0844 number, as this costs a fortune on my mobile (if used the alternative number sites, but all they give is main switchboard, who will not put you through).

Admin and booking fees, as well as postage costs, if I'm being honest, should be costed into the price of tickets, whether coming from other clubs or not. It's not as if the staff member who will be sorting the tickets out, and popping them into envelopes has been drafted in especially for the job. When I went to get my Charlton ticket this morning, there were four people on the tills, doing nothing until I turned up. That's not including the staff in the office.

Seriously, what the hell is this fee for?

Is it a case of "other entertainment industries do it, why should we miss out", because if it is, I will happily fall out with the club.

I wouldn't be happy if the postage cost was included in the cost and I then went to pick up the tickets, so I think a postage charge would be acceptable. £2 is too much though even if they sent it recorded post. As for admin fees, the people get paid a wage whether they sell tickets or not so I can't see any point for them other than profiteering, the same with the old DD charges for season tickets.
